The JLE services the Southern California Jewish Community, providing knowledge about Judaism and appreciation of the Torah to all Jews, or Non-Jews in a serious conversion program, regardless of affiliation, background, or education, in a warm, welcoming environment.

How do I become a JLE member?
It's simple and free! Call the office to be added to the mailing list (specify if you would like to get the synagogue newsletters as well) and come to our inspiring classes and user-friendly Shabbat and holiday services.

What are the office hours?
Office hours are 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Mon. - Thurs., and 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Fri.
Call 323-857-0923 to assure that a staff member is in the office, or leave a message with your contact information and a staff member will return your call.

How do I make a donation to the JLE?

donate to the Jewish Learning Exchange

Mail in your tax-deductable donation to our office: 512 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036. Please specify in the check memo whether it is a building, sponsorship, or general donation.
Call the office 323-857-0923 with your credit card information.

$175 for Cholent Kiddush
$150 for Salad Kiddush
$125 for Regular Kiddush
$75 for Shalosh Seudos

How do I order a tape, CD, or MP3 from your catalog?
A complete list of our tapes is catalogued on this website. Tapes are $7 each ($10 for a 2-tape lecture). CDs are $10 each ($12 for a 2-disc lecture). MP3s are $5 each. Prices include postage and handling and can be purchased here or by calling the office at 323-857-0923.

How do I arrange to have Shabbat or holiday hospitality?
Call the office at 323-857-0923 and we would be happy to arrange it! People who are being set up for the first time who do not attend classes may be asked to provide references. Please give us as much advance notice as possible to ensure that we can provide the best Shabbat experience for you!

How do I set up an appointment with Rabbi Czapnik?
Call our office at 323-857-0923 and leave a message with your phone number and what times are most convenient for you to meet. The Rabbi or a staff member will call you back and arrange a meeting.
